Chocolate Hills

Loboc River

Blood Compact Shrine

The Blood Compact Shrine in Bool, Tagbilaran commemorates one of the most significant moments in Philippine history — the blood compact of 1565 between Spanish explorer Miguel López de Legazpi and Boholano chieftain Datu Sikatuna. The ritual exchange of blood sealed the first treaty of friendship between the Philippines and a foreign power.

The striking bronze monument by National Artist Napoleon Abueva depicts the two figures in the act of the compact, set against the sea. It's a short stop on most countryside tours and a genuinely moving piece of Philippine heritage.

Balicasag Island

Cadapdapan Rice Terraces

Often called "Bohol's Batad," the Cadapdapan Rice Terraces in Candijay are a stunning example of centuries-old indigenous farming carved into the hillside. Layers of vivid green paddies cascade down the slopes in sweeping curves, reflecting the sky when flooded during planting season.

Far less visited than the famous Banaue terraces in Luzon, Cadapdapan offers an equally breathtaking landscape with a peaceful, authentic village atmosphere. Best visited in the early morning when the mist is still in the valley.

Dimiao Twin Falls (Pahangog Falls)
